The movie is set in the patriarchal society of Haryana, India, where women are often considered inferior to men. The story revolves around Sultan Ali Khan (played by Salman Khan), a wrestler from Mahmoodpur village in Haryana. Sultan is a skilled wrestler who becomes a local hero after winning several matches. However, his life takes a dramatic turn when he meets and falls in love with Ameer Sultan (played by Anushka Sharma), a strong-willed and determined woman from a wrestling background.
