In the near future, the world is under attack by gigantic monsters, known as Kaijus, that emerge from a portal beneath the Pacific Ocean. To combat these threats, humanity comes together to form the Jaeger Program, a defense initiative that relies on giant humanoid robots called Jaegers, each controlled by a pair of human pilots who share a neural connection.
