The movie follows the story of Luv (Ranbir Kapoor), a carefree and irresponsible young man who is very close to his sister, Sweety (Prachi Desai). When Sweety gets engaged to Aditya (Randeep Hooda), Luv is initially unhappy about the relationship. However, things take a turn when Luv meets Dimple (Katrina Kaif), Aditya's cousin, who is in a relationship with someone else.
