You could open a MediaproXML file and trace a decision like reading a hand-annotated script: who suggested a change, which reference clip influenced a scene’s color grading, whether the composer asked for a tempo change. And because provenance was first-class, restorers could repair damaged works with confidence, knowing what had been altered and why.
