The film is set during the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. The story revolves around Johnny, a coffee shop owner in Madras (now Chennai), who is recruited by the Indian intelligence agency to help a group of Mukti Bahini fighters from Bangladesh. The mission is to take down the Pakistani forces and help Bangladesh gain independence.
