God of War: Chains of Olympus is a prequel to the original God of War game, taking place several years before Kratos's encounter with Ares. The game follows Kratos as he searches for his missing daughter, Calliope, and becomes entangled in a complex web of Greek mythology. With his signature Blades of Chaos, Kratos must battle his way through hordes of mythological creatures, from the undead to the gods themselves.
