The movie takes place in a world where writers have the power to bring their imagination to life. Lu Ling, a talented but struggling writer, discovers that her fictional characters have become real and are now under threat from an evil force known as the "Devourer". The Devourer seeks to eliminate all fictional beings and plunge the world into darkness.
