The tradition of Czech hunting rifles dates back to the 19th century, when the first firearms manufacturers emerged in the region. After World War II, the Czechoslovakian industry continued to develop and produce high-quality hunting rifles, with a focus on bolt-action and semi-automatic models. The communist era saw the production of rifles primarily for military and police use, but after the Velvet Revolution in 1989, the industry shifted towards producing firearms for civilian use, including hunting.
