The movie takes place after the events of the original Ben 10 series. Ben Tennyson, now in his teenage years, teams up with his cousin Rex, a teenage boy from the planet of the ten alien tribes in the Generator Rex series. Together, they join forces with the original Ben 10 team, consisting of Ben's grandfather Max, his foster sister Gwen, and her love interest Kevin.
