The movie revolves around Pavan Kumar Chaturvedi (played by Salman Khan), a small-town Punjabi boy who sets out on a journey to return a lost Pakistani girl, Khushboo (played by Harshaali Malhotra), to her home in Lahore, Pakistan. Along the way, Pavan faces various challenges and befriends a local Pakistani don, Iqbal (played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui).
